Gamla Ancient Synagogue

The Gamla nature reserve has a rare combination of nature, scenery and a fascinating historical human story. The synagogue is situated right at the entrance to the ancient town from the Second Temple period.

It was apparently built at the beginning of the first century CE, and was one of the first synagogues in the world to be built while the Temple was still standing
