Meet Bet She’an National Park

At the heart of the Jordan Valley, Bet She’an National Park stands as a testament to the grandeur of ancient civilizations. With its roots tracing back to the Biblical era, this park showcases the magnificent ruins of the Roman and Byzantine city of Bet She’an. Towering above these ruins is the high mound where the Biblical Bet She’an once stood, offering a panoramic view of the region’s historical and natural splendor.

Bet She’an, a pivotal city at the crossroads of ancient trade routes, has witnessed the ebb and flow of empires. Its strategic location made it a melting pot of cultures, each contributing to its architectural and cultural tapestry. Today, the park offers a window into the past, where visitors can walk the streets once trodden by Romans, Byzantines, and many others.
